Bible revalidated: Anger really can kill you, study finds

A new study
has revealed what many of you Bible-readers already knew: Anger is not good for you.
This study might have saved lots of time and money had it focused primarily on the Message from the One
Who knows us better than anyone else: our Creator.
A "study" conducted of the Bible would have revealed that anger, especially wrath and rage out of control (see video),
are the works of the flesh.
And the works of the flesh will lead to eternal condemnation if not repented of.
Now, perhaps other studies will find that a lot of other common sins of our society aren't good for your health either.
Some real wisdom on anger from our Creator
On the topic of anger, consider the following words of true wisdom from our Creator through His Holy Spirit:
My dear brothers, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry,
for man's anger does not bring about the righteous life that God desires.
(James 2:20-21)
Because of these, the wrath of God is coming.
You used to walk in these ways...But now you must rid yourselves of all such things as these:
anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips.
(Col 3:6-8)
In your anger do not sin. Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry,
and do not give the devil a foothold.
(Eph 4:26-7)
[Love] is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
(1 Cor 13:5)
Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice.
Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.
(Eph 4:31-2)
What the anger study revealed
While previous studies had indicated that earthquakes, war or even a loss suffered by one's favorite ball team could sufficiently increase
rates of death from sudden cardiac arrest (in which case the heart stops circulating blood), this one focused more on people who
already had heart abnormalities, which many of us do.
The new study
(per Reuters) added to former findings by revealing that anger and other strong emotions can trigger potentially deadly heart rhythms
in certain vulnerable people.
62 patients with heart disease and implantable heart defibrillators or the like were analyzed. The goal was to
get them to relive angry events of the past. Some in the study were "10 times more likely than everyone else to
have an arrhythmia in follow-up," a study representative noted.
Bottom line: anger can be deadly, at least for people who are already vulnerable to this type of electrical disturbance in the heart.
Furthermore, we've known for some time the danger of high blood pressure, and that spikes can occur during times of emotional stress.
Reuters reported that sudden cardiac death accounts for more than 400,000 U.S. deaths each year, per the American College of Cardiology.
In other words, a lot of people have died in our world due to anger.
God's wisdom far superior
This will certainly not come as a newsflash to true believers in Christ—but the wisdom of God, and our Lord Jesus Christ,
is far superior to any number of "official" studies performed by the most educated of men. Paul wrote:
...the foolishness of God is wiser than man's wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than man's strength.
(1 Cor 1:25)
That's not a bad thing to remember when it comes to a lot of other topics too...
...Not only when it comes to controlling our
anger (note: anger is not sin; anger out of control, and long-term anger, are)—but also when it comes to all the other wisdom of God:
from self control, to being people of love, to the wisdom of Proverbs...and the list goes on.
